The MOIRO (Music of Irish Origin) stage, presented by Smashing Buttons, is the space where Trad and contemporary artists will unite for a two-day genre-bending session.
Expect mind-blowing blends of Trad, Rock, Hip-Hop, Funk, Soul, Techno, Punk and the Blues, as Northern Ireland’s musical heritage is celebrated through sounds and influences spanning the last 80+ years.
Friday 7 and Saturday 8 August will see the Trad Folkin’ Rocks crew take to the stage, along with the very best of Northern Ireland’s new generation of talent.
Don’t miss the opportunity to witness rapidly rising young super-band :Panic :Over, alt-pop duo Dark Tropics, Irish hip-hop artists Evo and Leo Miyagee, local funk legend Noble Johnson, Ed Sheeran’s pop protégé Antwan Ruiz, harpist, singer and songwriter Niamh Noade, and the poignant and powerful vocal talent of Njambi.
Hosted by Downtown Radio stalwart, Neal McClelland, the programme reflects the many ways tradition can be preserved, reinterpreted and shared, creating an inclusive showcase that honours the past whilst embracing the now.
