The MOIRO (Music of Irish Origin) stage, presented by Smashing Buttons, is the space where trad and contemporary artists unite for a two-day genre-bending session. Expect explosive blends of Trad, Rock, Hip-Hop, Funk, Soul, Techno, Punk and the Blues, as Northern Ireland’s musical heritage is celebrated through the local sounds and influences of the last 80+ years.

Friday daytime sees two of Northern Ireland's brightest emerging singer-songwriters. Fresh from festival appearances and growing BBC Radio support, Cora Harkin brings her beautifully crafted indie-folk songwriting to the MOIRO stage, before BGT semi-finalist Niamh Noade will be joined by her little brother Malachy's band, Ceol na gCuillin as well as her father Mal on Uilleann Pipes and little sister Molly on the Tin Whistle.

The Trad Folkin' Rocks crew lead the Friday night session with a celebration of Irish music old and new, followed by acclaimed songwriter Charlie Hanlon and the atmospheric alternative rock sounds of VERA. Closing the evening are Dark Tropics, whose cinematic pop-noir has earned huge radio support (Radio 1, Radio 2 and RTÉ 2FM, bringing the first day of MOIRO to a spellbinding conclusion.

Saturday daytime sessions start with Aidan Mulholland & Sons, followed by international folk-pop artist CORA. The evening line-up includes funk master Noble Jonson, Ed Sheeran protégé Antwan Ruiz, Becky McNeice. Rising hip-hop artist Evoand Downtown Radio’s Neal McClelland will close the party with a bang. Leave your minds at the door, as you will surely lose them!

At the centre of Saturday night’s programme will be :Panic :Over. Fresh from sold-out headline shows and festival appearances at home and at the WorldEXPO in Osaka, Japan, the young Bangor band will take to the stage at 8pm.

This is a ‘no cost/low cost’ event. Kids go free, £4 Concessions, £5 Adults. Kids are welcome to stay until the end at 11pm!
